      Do faucets and shower kits need CSA or cUPC certification in Canada?

      Building inspectors in Canada look for a recognized certification mark, such as CSA or cUPC, on faucets, shower valves and other plumbing fittings. If your renovation needs a permit or inspection, choose a certified product. Our CSA / cUPC-certified shower kits and rough-in valves are grouped in their own collection, and we can confirm the certification of any item before you order.

      What do I need to install a ceiling-mounted faucet?

      The water supply runs through the ceiling to the spout, and the hot and cold control is a separate wall-mounted valve. You need access above the ceiling (or a bulkhead) to run the supply line, plus the exact height from the ceiling to the top of the basin. Send us that measurement and we cut the pipe to length so the water lands in the centre of the sink.

      Plug-in or hardwired: how do LED mirrors get power?

      Plug-in mirrors need an outlet close to the mirror. Hardwired mirrors connect to an electrical box behind the mirror, or in the ceiling for suspended mirrors, and should be connected by a licensed electrician. Tell us which you have when you order and we will supply the matching version.

      What does a smart toilet or electric bidet seat need?

      A cold water supply (the standard toilet shut-off valve) and a grounded, GFCI-protected outlet within reach of the power cord, usually beside the toilet. Also measure your rough-in, the distance from the finished wall to the centre of the floor drain (most commonly 12 inches), so the new toilet fits without moving plumbing. Have an electrician confirm the outlet meets code.

      What measurements should I send for a custom vanity?

      Width, depth and height of the space; the height and position of the drain and water supply lines coming out of the wall; your faucet type (single hole, 4-inch centerset, 8-inch widespread or wall-mount); and whether you want an undermount, vessel or integrated sink. Photos of the wall help us check the rough-in before we build.

      Can I see finishes before I order?

      Yes. Order our door colour, marble and steel finish samples online, or see finishes in person at our showroom at 208 Brown's Line, Etobicoke — open Monday to Saturday, and Sundays by appointment. Nothing goes into production until you approve the finish.

      How long do custom orders take?

      Custom pieces are handmade in about 30 business days, then ship free across Canada and the USA. Allow 45 to 60 days in total. We confirm your timeline in writing with your quote.
